This is an illustration I did for a school assignment. I'm really inspired by all the great children's book illustrations out there and hope that I might make it as an illustrator one day
The theme for this assignment was dreams, which I think is a really great and interesting theme to illustrate! It was so cool to see all the different directions my classmates went for, because everyone gets different assosiations to dreams. Some went for the surrealistic, others for childhood memories, it was really diverce.
I'm starting my bachelor assignment next week where I plan to study book illustrations and I would like to find a story that I can try illustrating myself. So if anyone knows about a cute and special story for children, or maybe someone who'd like to get their own story illustrated, please tell me
Critiques and tips are very welcome, and if anyone has any knowledge and advice on how to get your art out there, I would really appreciate it if you share it with me! ^_^ I know I have to work for it, and now that I finish my art education in may, I will have the whole summer to get better and get my art out in the world. I guess I should really start using the forums here at DeviantArt and be more active in groups and such, I just haven't gotten around to it before..
